No names , banking on creative inspiration....

It's weird how I went from random babbling on my blog posts to dedicating my blog to the fosters dogs and kitties and my two munchkins. I think they are by far more interesting to talk about than the random nonsense I spew out of month regularly.

Yesterday was a long night. I drove out downtown to pick up the two kitties who had no names. All I know is that these two need much TLC but I wasn't quite prepared when they were handed over to me just how much care they required. The poor foster mom was drowning. I counted 8 cats that I could see but was told there were a few more downstairs. I didn't ask her how much but the strong stench of cat litter pretty much gave me a good idea that the range was far past 10. When she handed over the two to me, my heart sunk. Their little eyes were full of puss due to an eye infection and their fur was matted and litter was stuck to their paws and feet. They stunk. I had to roll down the window on my way home so my car wouldnt be filled with such an odor. I have to say they pretty much smelt like they came right from the shelter. Yet Lemon and Lulu weren't this stinky.

When we got home, I rushed upstairs and ran a bath. I put the little girl into the tub at first and scrubbed her down. I tried as mcuh as I could to wash her ears, and the litter out of her fur. She was a mess but purred and seemed happy when i was rubbing soap into her fur. Once I took her out of the tub and dried her off, she was happy to roll around in the towel...I clipped her nails, cleaned her ears and I put her back into the crate.

Next up was the little boy...he must have been the runt of the litter. He's definitely smaller of the two and was more cautious than his sister. He was a mess too, mats of litter stuck in his fur, long nails and dirty little ears.He too enjoyed the bath. He seemed to enjoy it more than his sister. Crazy little runt.

Once the baths were completed, i took the two downstairs. They won't come upstairs on their own and prefer to sit at the top of the steps and just nap or sleep. They are still shell shock but are eating and pooping/peeing fine. They love to be petted.
Hopefully in my care, the eye infection will go away and they heal and recover faster. These two needed TLC and I'm ready to give it to them. Hopefully I can update with much better pictures of these two (sans eye infection). :)
