Nervousness set in as the man-boy explained to me in a fast paced manner the insides and out of operating the unit. I wasn't listening, I just wanted to grab it in my hand and feel the power within. Once we were settled in the zone, thats where i started to panic. All the excitement built up for this event left me in a state of shock. I didnt know how to operate it and as i glanced over to the others around me, they were off in their zones, shooting up a storm.
Hesitantly I picked up the gun, the glock 9mm felt foreign in my hands. I braced myself and set myself in the right position. My fear was the recoil. All around me the sounds of gunshots went off, none were from me. I finally took a deep breath.
I squeezed the trigger, blinked and all I could see was a tiny little hole in the chest of my target. That bought a smile on my face. I didn't miss. I squeezed again, I blinked again. I couldn't stop the blinking. Finally after 4 rounds, I got it down, forced the eyes open and boom boom boom, my target was totally dead by now.
After 50 rounds, I was done, my target with its head still intact couldn't have survived. The chest was a splishsplash of bullet holes. I felt great, I could do anything! I could shoot guns forever, and then i realized that i had to go home on the plane with the smell of gunpowder and residue on my body. I wasn't getting on any plane, I was going to be detained for being a terrorist. But airport security must be lax cause they let me go home with everything including my shot up target and the power within.
