I think they dream about running through a field to find the perfect treat or maybe they are running to greet you after being alone after a long day or perhaps just humping your leg. I love seeing their little pawpaws wiggle.

Congrats on the new addition! I miss my thunder... except she was a real big dog, and she SNORED real loud when she was really tired. It sounded like a big old man was in the house.
She did the the doggie paw shuffle to. I loved watching her when she did that.
