Cane Corso Puppy

Cane Corso Puppy - Super duper cutie pie. Reia - the super cute blue with brindle girl at 4 months.
Mastiffs are not a dog for everyone. You need to be prepared to take them on as they are pretty stubborn dogs. Reia is quite the challenge, everyday is a work in progress.

Big clumsy feet!

I got me the biggest most clumsy pup in the world. An Italian Pure Bred Cane Corso that is 6mths old and such a sucky poo!

Ive only ever had small dogs so having a new big dog is very new to me. He drools but not like those big mastiff dogs who slobber all over you. I love him already and so do my little puppies...

Wellies for the rain

I love my new Hunter wellies. I tested them in the dewy fog while walking the pups yesterday, surprised to find they are so comfy! (Thanks sis!) A great boot that fits true to size with room still for socks. Also keeps you warm and dry! Perfect for trekking thru mud and dirt and a simple rinse and it looks clean. Should have gotten a pair ages ago! I definitely recommend a pair to all gals!

Complications leads to tremendous details and routine.

I was sitting here pondering about my morning routine and figured I should write it down. While writing it down I realized that the amount of time I spend doing things for others far exceeds the amount of time I take to tend to myself. After review of the routine below, i think it's time to re-assess the situation and figure out a means to cut down so I can more time to focus on myself and make a cup of Nespresso before heading off to work. (The ultimate goal of course :P)

Let the dogs go outside to pee.
Prep 3 clean bowls of dental water
Prep 2 clean bowls of dog food
Prep 2 clean bowls of cat food.
Let the dogs back in.
Collect Princey's dirty bowls and set up new bowls.
Clean up kitty litter
Fresh water for dogs, Feed the dogs
Go upstairs, collect Leo's dirty bowls and set up new bowls
Clean up kitty litter
Collect dog finished bowls
Go downstairs, apply lotion to Princey ringworm
Go back upstairs apply lotion and antibiotics to Leo's ringworm
Wash hands and all related peripherals.
Wash all the dirty bowls

All the above takes me close to 45minutes.

Only after all that do i go and shower, get dressed, put on my face. This only takes me about 1/2 hour because by this time, Im rushing to get to work.

I dont blame you for being tired after reading this post.

Damn Allergies, Damn Animals.

So its been about one week and a half since I've gotten the kittens.
The little one Lemon meows all the time, climbs my leg for cheese and basically annoys the crap out of me. Lulu on the other hand has taken a liking to chewing on my fingers or biting me. Damn cats. Plus allergies are driving me bonkers lately and hopefully they will pass soon. I got the kitties a new litter box after Lemon had assplosion all over my wall. Not fun at all. Dogs are getting use to the kittens now. Lemon likes to sleep beside the doggies. Nilla loves to kiss Lemon and tries to get her to playfight with her. Silly animals!!!!!!!!!! Oh yah this is what happens when you come to my house...muhahah

Foster Mommy?

I may soon be fostering for the chihuahua rescue I work for.
I hope that the home visit goes well albeit a formality since I am already a volunteer and have done numerous house visits of my own.

If I do get to foster a chi, I know it won't be an issue with Choco as he's rather friendly and generally a submissive pup. Nilla may take some warming up but she will eventually come around. Most of our rescues come from shelters like Toronto Animal Services or owner surrenders. I do believe we get some from out of provinces as well.

I am constantly looking at the shelters/craigslist/kijiji for those people giving up their chihuahuas for moving purposes or no longer able to care for them. I try to contact them to surrender to Chihuahua rescue group. Most of the time they rather just sell their dogs to make a quick buck or to recover their lost. Sad really, its not about the welfare of the dog.

In California, the shelters have about 80% of the dogs being chihuahuas and chi mixes there. When i browse through the website I feel sad as I would love to rescue all of them. Then i think back about how Nilla could have ever been in a shelter and it makes me happy that she is now in a good home (Or so i like to think :P). If i could travel to Cali and rescue all those chi's I would. Lord help me because if i had the money i would be on the first flight out. - She looks like a puppy still!!!

I've been busy!

Long Post!
I finally moved into my house. What a nightmare moving day was. But in the end, it was worth it. The new house is fantastic. It's been about close to 1mth and a half.
Can't believe its only been so short but feels so long. Theres so much to do and I've got my eyeballs full of renovations. Plus I've been super lazy to do them.
Had a few peeps over already, Lisers, Derf, Vinny and their S.Os. Alex and momolar. Then had my other friends over Amy,Derek,Tanya,Phong and the kids. They chipped in my for my bbq! Having my OWN bbq is so awesome. Even better is having a natural gas line. That means instant bbq all the time and cause I'm a girl, no changing propane, lugging to the gas station to get and not having to reconnect the damn thing. Sweet!

My sis came to visit from Ireland. I took her to every HomeSense/Winner imaginable.
Lol having her around was great to give me opinions on stuff. We went to the new mall at DonMills and lawrence. Apparently its puppy friendly! Yay! Can't wait to take the kids.

Also been entertaining family for the past 2 weeks! Also been busy at work surprise surprise. But i've not been too busy to go home during lunch to bask in the sun with the pups while i eat my lunch. Then we go to the park and play ball.
Love it! :)

Woofstock this weekend was fun. Choco loved it but Nilla didn't. He got loads of treats to snack on. She was a big suck so Bdids took her home to rest. Choco, mini and Biggie enjoyed all the attention. Fun times and bbqs too!

Anyhoo *crossing finger* to see if i will be accepted to foster a new pup. That will be 3 for me and I'll soon be known as the crazy dog lady to all if they don't already know me by that name by now.

Whiny Puppies whine.

Choco likes to hide under the couch and whine for attention. It's kinda his way of throwing a tantrum when he wants to go outside or is really bored.
Tantrum styles and Me saying to him "Wanna go outside?" Automatically he comes out from hiding/sulking.

When puppies dream
