Mink Pink heads to LA LA Land!

Girls just want to have fun and MINKPINK definitely has this nailed down with their latest Global campaign for LA LA LAND available in stores now. The feature model is Chloe Norgaard a Danish rainbow haired hippie complete with tattoos who defies the image of a high fashion model. What I like about Chloe is her rebelliousness and outlook on life whether it be having fun eating rainbow ice cream or dancing with LA actress Daveigh Chase during their recent Venice Beach photo shoot. Check out some images from the campaign here:

For those who don’t know about MINKPINK, this famous Australian fashion brand was introduced in 2005 and quickly exploded in the fashion world. Celebrities such as “IT girl” Lily Collins, Rihanna and Kristen Stewart have been spotted wearing several pieces from the brand. I first encountered MINKPINK during my travels to Ireland while shopping in the local Browns Thomas 2 store (first to stock in all of Ireland). I instantly fell in love with the brand and I can’t wait to get my hands on several pieces of the latest collection to add to my wardrobe.

Previously MINKPINK was only available in North America via a few select US only websites and just started to show up in Canada a few years ago. With the newest PR representation from Lotus Leaf Communications Inc. being the official MINKPINK's Agency of Record for all PR activities, loyal fans and those new to the brand will start to see more availability. I have been one of the lucky few who have been invited to preview the latest collection in the Toronto showroom. Follow me on Instagram @thefurkiddies or Twitter @nerdfacegeek to see the preview of my favorite picks of the collection! While you are waiting you can view the collection here at www.minkpink.com

Organizing the nailpolish

Step1 -Find a suitable box
Step2 -PURGE and only keep colors you will use
Step3 -Give yourself a manicure
PS: As nice as Chanel colors are,  they suck for every day wear in terms of chipping and lasting.

What exactly is a Lady Umbrella you might ask yourself while pondering in deep thoughts of a lady carrying a fancy umbrella. As the title may suggest, Lady Umbrella is a ladies designer tshirt company situated in the Loft Market in Powerscourt Shopping Centre in Dublin City Ireland. But don't fret my pretties, they have an online shop for those of you unable to make it to the jolly green land. Click to shop online here: Lady Umbrella.

With the discount t-shirts will be reduced down to around 19.25euro (£16.50/~$27.15) and shipping is still free world wide. The code will be valid until the 6th of June. Leggings A Real Hard On

I've got a hard on for leggings. Not your standard run of the mill plain Jane black leggings. I'm talking super funky, patterned and stylish. Check out these bad boys. So I'm not the tallest tool in the shed but I think I can pull these off with a super long tee, and a pair of knee high boots.

I suck and here's why.

I went to a sale and lined up for 3hours just to buy an overpriced scarf. I'm such a wannabe fashion loser. The only one proud of me isn't me. Just the other wannabe losers who also lined up for 3hours to buy overpriced merchandise. Damn you Hermes!

Tutu to you too!

Look at me, Look at me, Look what Im wearing and tell me what you see?
This is my new outfit that i totally taxed from a super duper cute salesgirl at BCBG. She caught my eye, being as stunning as she was all tall and modeley like and wearing her black blazer, tutu tank dress, contrast black tights and ballet pumps with her super cute long blonde hair!

So I got inspired, I tried on the tutu skirt first alone, lost hope that i look like a sack of potatoes and dejected and bought a pair of shoes instead. But I did not give up, a few days later, I tried the tutu again in the right size, this time with a blazer. It looked good even on a short stuff like me. I was surprised so i purchased the skirt and alas decided it actually kinda looks good. I then went back to BCBG this weekend and saw a tutu tank dress with an even frillier tutu and I had to have it. So what if i have two tutus!

So if the inner ballerina in you wants to wear a tutu, give it a try, how can you not when you look super cute like me, cause you know your boyfriend/girlfriend thinks I'm cute and thats all that counts you sluts.

Wellies for the rain

I love my new Hunter wellies. I tested them in the dewy fog while walking the pups yesterday, surprised to find they are so comfy! (Thanks sis!) A great boot that fits true to size with room still for socks. Also keeps you warm and dry! Perfect for trekking thru mud and dirt and a simple rinse and it looks clean. Should have gotten a pair ages ago! I definitely recommend a pair to all gals!

Hermes Scarves - Crash Course

Recently in my little shopping sprees, I have passed by the Hermes store on Bloor multiple times but never going in. I spot those special little Hermes scarves and covet them through the window. I hope to own an Orange box of my own one day. Maybe I can score an insider invite to the Hermes sale, which would be the only justification I can get to owning a scarf at a discount price.

With that being said, on my trip to France a few years ago, I noticed that French women have a "je ne sais quois" way of accessorizing with scarves. Whatever way they wear it, it just looks chic. For those of you new to the scarf world, I've included some pictorial tutorials on the multiple ways to wear Hermes Scarves or any scarf for that matter.

Short Neck Cross Knot- Stylish with a trench coat

Belt - Worn with denim or crisp white pants/linen

Scarf Head Wrap - beachy style

CrissCross Top - Chic and stylish

Long MidSection Cross Knot Drape

Louis Vuitton New Collection 2010-2011

The new LV collection for Fall2010 is giving a throwback with a 1940s-1950s vibe.
The only exception I can note in the new campaign is the massive abundance of cleavage! The dresses are amazingly tailored and works with the campaign.
I do love that Christy Turlington is in the campaign, she's a classy lady who embodies the image that Louis Vuitton is portraying. Karen Elson and Natalia Vodianova look great as well.

Check out the lace effect on the Speedy bag. I love it. I can't wait to touch and see it in person. However the cost will likely be high due to exclusiveness and likely to be a limited edition product. Check back here for details on availability.

Stuart Weitzman Alex Espadrille

The shoe of the summer has finally arrived and I scored myself a pair.
This espadrille has been seen numerous times worn by Jennifer Aniston in many different outfits. It is a classic sandal in the sense that it accomodates most wardrobes styles. I got myself a pair in Swamp Crochet. It is neutral and elongates my legs and is super comfortable! The size is true to fit and for my flat footed feet gives me a great looking arch. Although it is 5inch heel, it does not feel so and walking in these are a breeze. I'm taking these shoes with me on my San Francisco holiday.

JULY 7th 2010 UPDATE - THESE SANDALS ARE NOW SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE! :)
You can get these at Zappos but most smaller sizes are sold out.

Chanel Particulière Nailpolish

On a recent shopping spree I got myself the Chanel Particulière nailpolish that is the hottest color on the runway right now. It's a very classy color with hints of taupe and grey to it. Even on my short chewed nails it looks good. It applies nicely and only needs about 2 coats to get a nice glossy look. It reminds me a bit of the underside of a portobello mushroom. Although this polish comes with a high price tag (about $25plus tax) it does last through various chores but started to fade after the 2nd day.

Pros:
- Nice Creamy taupe color
- Good to match various wardrobe styles
- Classy
- Looks good on short nails
- Drys fast

Cons:
-Pricey!!!!
-Does not last more than 2 days
