Marineland LED Aquarium Kit - Great Buy!

Over the course of a few weeks I've been looking for ways to de-stress. I have previously owned fish and thought what a great idea to add additional costs to my electrical and water bills?
It's not as though I don't have enough animals to look after or pets to spend time with.

So I started my research, I remembered in the past having to change florescent bulbs and remembering what a pain in the ass it was. I checked my local Petsmart and found that manufacturers are now making LED lighting aquarium kits. This kit has everything you could want as a starter. It comes with a heater, a bio-wheel filter kit (Quiet and carbon filter) as well as therometer strip. Perfect for first timers and great tank for those in the know. Now the funny thing about setting up an aquarium is to realize what size and commitment you will be willing to make for upkeep. I chose to go with a 29 gallon kit from Marineland with LED lighting. The reason I chose this route is that the height is just enough to reach my hand into for cleaning and wide enough to have a full un-distracted visual. My goal is to make this a freshwater tank and to add in some pea puffer fish, parrot head cichlids and possibly another one or two fast swimmers.

In the past I've set up my tank with silly little ornaments and fake plants. However as a grown up I am learning to appreciate creating landscapes and using real plants. I'm far from done as I do feel my tank needs more plants. I will continue to cycle the tank and wait a few days before I add more fish.

As you can see, I am not the only one who appreciates the new members to the household. Although from the looks of it they seem to be sharing ideas on how to catch and eat the fish.
